One killed, dozens injured in road accident near Koti in Billawar

Jammu, Jan 24: One person killed while twentytwo were injured after a matador they were travelling on met with an accident in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A matador (JK02 BD 7467) heading towards Koti from Billawar rolled down into a nallah near Koti in the jurisdiction of police station Billawar.

Fire damages residential house in Kupwara

A residential house was gutted in a fire incident at Audoora Mawer village in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to eye witness the residential house of Mohammad Afzal was gutted in fire.

There was no loss of life in the incident,however, property worth of lakhs were damaged in the incident, locals said.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained

Armymen injured as Militants Open fire during CASO

Hajin, Feb 22: An army soldier was injured in Paribal area of north Kashmir’s Hajin as militants opened fire on army in Bandipora district, sources said on Thursday.

Following inputs about the presence of militants in the area 13 RR and SOG launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Paribal area of Hajin, official sources said.

As forces tightened the Cordon militants opened fire on the party injuring an army soldier, they said.
The injured army soldier was identified as Gobind Singh of 13 Para of Hajin camp.

Local sources said that stone pelting was going on in the area when the last reports came.

Government forces launch Cordon and search operation in city outskirt

Srinagar Feb 21: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation at Mochow area of Nowgam in outskirts of Srinagar city.

Official sources told that a joint team of SOG and CRPF launched the operation following intelligence inputs about the movement of some militants in the area.

Additional reinforcement has been rushed to the spot amid reports of minor stone pelting clashes in the area. When reports last came in the searches were going on
